What's new in 5.0.10? (Coming Soon)

Tribiq CMS 5.0.10 is suitable as both a complete download or as an update to existing Tribiq CMS users. The latest edition contains both major updates and minor updates to the system, as well as including numerous updates for Enterprise Modules:

Major Updates

  • Database Backups - Tribiq CMS now supports the creation of server-side and downloadable backups. This provides you with a built-in utility for creating an entire backup of your content, documents and extranet user information. You can then readily store this backup offsite.
  • Database Updater - Database Updates are now delivered with each new edition of Tribiq CMS, providing you with automated database additions and modifications. This resolves the manual process of having to process the updates from the Tribiq Database Changelog, each time you update Tribiq CMS.
  • Hierarchy Manager - The Hierarchy Manager provides a multipurpose platform allowing you to rapidly organize any set of data into a level of hierarchy. In forthcoming releases this will be integrated into Categories, Extranet Groups and other CMS features.
  • Updated WYSIWYG Editor - Faster interface, updated toolbar language files, improved XHTML validation (e.g. now uses <strong> and <em> instead of <b> and <i>), improved Firefox 3 behaviour, improved Email links.

Minor Updates

  • Improved Admin Interfaces
  • Improved Parameter Handling
  • Improved Source Code
  • Implemented AJAX Typeahead in Admin Mode - You can now search for Content Items using a typeahead search that will predict the Content Item you are looking for.
  • Improved Warning Messages - Admins are now more aware of backup, dropbox and doc-store issues
  • Extranet User Pictures (Avatars)

Module Updates

  • New - Workflow Module
Managing complicated web development across design and development teams has never been easier. Allocated tasks can be tracked, delays isolated and addressed and completed work integrated, all from within the CMS environment.
  • New - Microsites
Microsites provide Tribiq-powered websites with an ability to simulate distinct "sub sites" whilst remaining under the same parent website. The Microsite Module is aimed at enterprise level sites that seek to run subsidiary or divisional websites under the same look and feel of the parent website, whilst retaining a separate level of privileges and permissions for the microsites.
  • New - AVLS Plus Module
The Tribiq CMS Advanced Visitor Language Support Plus Module allows for both content and menu items to be exported for rapid translation in translation software or by a translation service provider. AVLS Plus then allows you to import the translated content to an existing website language or a new language. This provides the fastest and most productive method of scaling your website into many languages.
